MY 27TH BIRTHDAY GIFT TO THE FUTURE OF KWANIA CHILDREN: Empowering Education Through the Back to School Mission 2025.

As I turn 27, I reflect on the journey that has shaped who I am today—a lawyer, career coach, and advocate for social justice and education. Growing up in northern Uganda, I was a survivor of the LRA insurgencies in the early 2000s, and my experience during those difficult times instilled in me a deep understanding of the power of education. Education was, and still is, the key to overcoming the challenges I faced, and it continues to serve as the gateway to breaking generational cycles of poverty.

My educational journey has not been easy, but it has fueled my passion for empowering others. Completing my law degree and establishing myself as a career coach, I’ve worked closely with young professionals to guide them through their career paths. These experiences have helped me realize the importance of creating access to education, especially for children in underserved communities.

Kwania District, my home district, has always held a special place in my heart. The challenges faced by many children there, from limited access to school supplies to the lack of basic hygiene and nutrition, were challenges I witnessed growing up. While I was fortunate enough to continue my education with the support of my family and community, many others weren’t so lucky.

To mark my 27th birthday, I felt it was time to give back. I chose to celebrate this milestone by launching the Back to School Mission 2025. This mission is close to my heart—it aims to provide 300 pupils and students in Kwania District with essential school supplies, meals, hygiene kits, and scholarships. But more than just providing material support, this mission seeks to give these children the chance to break through barriers and unlock a brighter future.

This project is made possible through a partnership with Treasure Children’s Charity, Vine Tutoring Hub, Mango Tree Education Institute, and Anothen Foundation. Together, we are working to build a sustainable model that will empower both the children and the community. Our approach goes beyond simply distributing supplies; we want to engage with parents, teachers, and local leaders to raise awareness about the importance of education and how we can all invest in the future of these children.

My work with Vine Tutoring Hub has shown me the importance of mentorship and career guidance, especially in a world where access to education can be a limiting factor. Through this platform, I have been fortunate enough to support many young professionals in shaping their futures, and it’s a mission I’m dedicated to continuing. Through the Back to School Mission 2025, I hope to ensure that children in Kwania District not only have access to the education they deserve but that they are equipped to succeed in the long term.

As we work towards making this vision a reality, we have set a target of 10,000 USD to fully fund the Back to School Mission throughout the course of 2025. These funds will support the purchase of school supplies, meals, hygiene kits, and scholarships for the children in Kwania District, as well as the broader community engagement efforts.

I invite well-wishers, partners, and stakeholders to join us in this noble cause. Your support—whether financial, material, or through your time—will make a significant difference in the lives of these children and help create lasting change in Kwania. Together, we can unlock opportunities, inspire hope, and empower the next generation to thrive.

The Back to School Mission 2025 is just the beginning. Through this initiative, I hope to empower the children of Kwania District to unlock their potential, and together, we can build a brighter future for them and for generations to come.
